So thankful πŸ™ this sweet angel was saved. I won’t hesitate to stop and help them. I’ve moved Snappers, tortoises and others out of the road to safety. Below is a related story about the alligator snapping turtle.

It sat on a grocery store shelf for a decade. It turned out to be an entire species. And the country ate its way through it before anyone checked.

What a sad story about the Alligator Turtles. I did fact check the reference to Campbell's Soup though, and they didn't make a real turtle soup β€”Β they made a Mock Turtle Soup (which is now discontinued). https://www.mashed.com/1627114/canned-campbells-mock-turtle-soup/

Yes it absolutely is. I admit I did not do a fact check and I will share this link with the OP. I have to say, being the huge animal lover that I am that the reference about calves' heads used as the turtle meat is just as repulsive; and the beef hearts as well.
